Upgrading from 1.0.5 to 1.1 RC1

I want to upgrade my version of SMF 1.0.5 to 1.1 RC1 and keep all the posts but what do I download? there is an upgrade and update download on the downloads page and when I download it do I just upload all the files overwriting the old ones and then run upgrade.php?
