Not a major problem, just ran into it for first time, but repair_settings.php doesn't work if there's a semicolon in the database password.  It cuts off the ; and everything following, and can't connect to the db.  The forum does not have a problem with it.

Didn't pursue it, simpler just to remove the semicolon.  The forum owner apparently used a password generator in his cpanel, and is using that password for a lot of things.  It doesn't work only in repair_settings.  I may be using an older version - was a nasty bug in an update a while back.

The latest version I have here (actually I have been fixing some stuff in it) does not have that problem with ;
(not sure if this is the same one on our downloads)

But the issue reported by Arantor with " still exists, as repair_settings tries to escape it, thus resulting in wrong password stored in Settings.php
There is also a proposed fix for it in that topic. I'll try it.
