manual conversion

Since trying to use the converter for ipb 2.1.7 to smf 2.0.7 has failed miserably, is there a way to manually import the most recent posts from the old forum to smf?

Why did it fail? The converter is really the best way to go, so it's best we try to understand what fails and solve it

I'll make backups again and try the conversion so I an copy the error. It was a members error, showed a long list of members, emails, IDs, etc. Even members that are long gone.
