Avoid logout when ghange password from remote page / SSI

Hi, i'm triying to change the user (my) password from a page with the ssi script included, all works fine except i get logout as soon i change the password, so i need to write my login details again to login , however from the forum profile i'm able to change the password without get kick out , i double checked all files and i don't see anything significant rather than the password verification and the sql  update , what i'm missing ?

You need to reset the cookie since it relies upon the password. Checkout Profile-Modify.php -> authenticate() to see how SMF does it
