Forum page loading slowed to a crawl?

Hi All,
Can someone help me. My forum is unusable atm because the pages take an age (Several Minutes to load or sometimes Timesout ) to load. My browser says waiting for response. I thought it was a server issue and spoke to my Hosting Company and they pointed out that the remainder of my site was blindingly fast so the issue may be with the forum software or the database files. I  took some time to enter admin mode and checked for errors....none detected. I optimised the tables and all was apparently well. Except that it made no difference. My CPanel Error logs report the following error from the forum pages:

If someone can explain what this means and help me to restore my forum to its former glory I would be grateful.

It seems you are having some issue with a MOD or a custom coding... This file:
/home2/intern41/public_html/auth_member.php
Doesn't exist in a SMF install (be it 1.1.x or 2.0.x)

What those errors mean is that, from that file, several attempts to connect to MySQL fail due to wrong username/password.
