Hum, that's a lot different that I'd expect. A BBC for attachments is probably a modification for the core phpBB that the converter will likely not handle...

Which version were you running and which converter did you use?

Look in this thread, then search to find this line:

phpBB supports inline attachments and SMF doesn't.  This results in stuff that looks like this:

There will be all the information you need to "convert" the phpbb attachment bbcodes into SMF....
