Hello,
I am wondering how to auto-ban multiaccounters IPS and names, and even over proxy, so i don't get spammed, i have file limit and i want to NOT get exceeded.

Best Regards,

Banning by IP I would really not recommend. It's easy to work around and slows SMF down.

There are some good mods though that help with forum spammers you could try out.

Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.

The one that Kindred is talking about is this --> http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Spam_-_my_forum_is_flooded_with_spam,_what_can_I_do
If you really want to ban by IP don't use the built-in SMF ban system, check this guide --> http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=524146.0
Even though we always recommend not to ban wide IP ranges, as Kindred suggested many times :)

It's so powerful that on this post and even in the two PMs you sent me,you still answered my question very quickly and you're apologizing for the delay. You're the #1 support I've probably ever encountered man, so much respect for that. Thank you, and get better soon.

I'll keep this in my siggy for a while just to remind me that someone appreciated what I did while others didn't.

If you mean multiaccounting by robots... install these:

http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/?mod=1547
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2155

The first one checks whether the user is a known spammer when they try to register, and the second makes sure bots are not the ones trying to sign up or use the site in a bad way :). I use them on my site and it's been years since I had any spam members get through.
