ads not working in smf 2.0.8

pls i really need help here

on my forum , i have installed different mod and they are working fine but i discover  among all ads i have tried to installed none have work for me and this look strange to me

i have tried ads management http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=255 and the result is

Execute Modification    ./Themes/default/index.template.php    Test failed

                              1.    Add After    ./Themes/default/index.template.php    Test failed

the other time i tried to ignore the test failed warning and went ahead to install it that way and my forum crashed i had to restore from backup again


i have also tried simpleads but its for smf 2.0 RC4 and when i tried
Emulate Version: the revert it will just show
SimpleAds    1.0.1    [ List Files ] [ Delete ] and the install will not be there but when i change to revert to 2.0 install will show and it will install successfully but ads will not display
SimpleAds    1.0.1    [ Install Mod ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]

pls i really need help either in getting other mod on ads or how to solve the problem

You do the install, normally, and make the failed edit, yourself. (Backup, first, obviously)

Maybe the mod author can help?

support for mods really needs to be requested in the support topic for that specific mod.
