Change Primary Group of Global Moderator?

Changing primary group is a default setting for SMF, but when the group is a Protected/Private group, the user cannot choose group as primary group anymore.


How can I make it so that even if Protected/Private group, you can still choose a primary group?

I'm talking out of memory but I think that if you adding Global Moderator as additional group, the user can choose free groups as Primary.

What do you mean by additional group?

Do you mean creating a new group?
Later, I created an other group (Survivor) to test it, when it set to Private/Protected, it still cannot be set as protected group.

You are absolutely correct.

If you have set a private group to be the primary group, the user can not choose another group as their primary group. That is, as designed.

If you ant them to be able to choose a group, then set the private group as a secondary group instead.

No, I am only trying to let people(my Global Moderators) to choose which title should be displayed(i.e. which one as their primary group)

SMF simply doesn't support it. It could be changed to do it but I would be extremely wary of security risks.

As a rule you generally don't need to let people mess around with badges (that's what the custom title option is for)
