Gmail delivery error and one more thing...

Hi!

I'm using gmail with SMF 2.0.8 and i got some problems delivering emails to me, to others they just arrive fine.

When someone register, i choosed to get email confirming that, but instead, i get:

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

    xxx at gmail dot com

Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain hxxp:gmail.com [nonactive] by gmail-smtp-in dot l dot google dot com [2a00:1450:400c:c05::1b].

The error that the other server returned was:
550-5.1.1 The email account that you tried to reach does not exist. Please try

Another problem is Facebook Slide Box, it works superb, but only if i am logged from Admin account, others can't see it and i couldn't find any option to change it.

Clue's in the message: "The email account that you tried to reach does not exist."

Can't email an address that doesn't exist.

but account do exist! are there any other email settings or the only place where i put also smtp stuff etc?

If so, it's configured properly, it's sending activation messages to others and so on

I'm only pointing out what the error says - and nothing in SMF can change that fact. The recipient of the email returned an error saying the account didn't exist.

The page you refer to is the only place where email can be configured.

So there must be a problem, because it is the same email, so why working account  cant email itself?

Are you sure you didn't mistype the name? The error you get is caused by gmail not finding the account you have specified. Most likely cause: typo.

Actually, no, GMail is very funny about emailing itself.

or did you try to add the slide box yourself? Or another mod?

Have you ticked "display facebook slide like box" in the permissions for regular members?

Nice one, thanks! Slide box now working, so only one problem left with Gmail... It's configured right, if it's sending activation messages to new users, but can't send copy to itself

-sigh- Correct: it does not like sending to itself. Different address suggested.
