Welcome to the forum, Larry!

Have you tried this one?

http://download.simplemachines.org/?converters;software=kunena

It doesn't seem to specify which version(s) of kunena it works with, though. Worth a try?

larry007

Hi

yes I tryed this but it doesen't work.... It seems like there's no way?

kat

As that page intimates that it's for v2.0, I wonder if you'd need to convert to that, first, then update to 2.0.8 using the patches that're available through Package Manager?

larry007

Hi,

sorry it was my mistake, I mean I have install the 2.0.8 Version!

The converter is for 2.0., yes I know.

In the file kunena_to_smf.sql are still old prefix information as "fb_" for example.
Since Kunena 3.0 there are new prefix exists ("kunena_") and a very different strucktur.

The converter does not work anymore for a long time since Kunena 3.0

Is there any buddy ho can fix/create a new converter kunena 3.0.5 to smf 2.0.8?

margarett

The converter works for any 2.0.x version since the database schema is the same

There have been some difficulties converting kunena, really. If you search this board,
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=524764.0
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=523756.0

There are a lot of prefixes involved, the layout keeps changing, the last conversion I helped on had half the topics in a table, other half in other table... a mess :P
Be sure to create the file indicated in this topic:

Hi

I do this from the board

http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=524764.0

and made a file configuration.php and put this in com_kunena folder

Quote<?php
// Legacy configuration file
// If you're using Joomla 1.5 or newer, please add this file
// in your Fireboard/Kunena component directory, before running the converter

$mosConfig_db = 'bwf';
$mosConfig_dbprefix = 'j17_';

?>

I have a error when  I start the converter  :'(

Unknown system variable 'SQL_MAX_JOIN_SIZE'

I do this all with XAMMPP on localhost

margarett

You need to edit convert.php, find and remove this:
// Attempt to allow big selects, only for mysql so far though.
if ($smcFunc['db_title'] == 'MySQL')
{
$results = $smcFunc['db_query']('', "SELECT @@SQL_BIG_SELECTS, @@SQL_MAX_JOIN_SIZE", 'security_override');
list($big_selects, $sql_max_join) = $smcFunc['db_fetch_row']($results);

// Only waste a query if its worth it.
if (empty($big_selects) || ($big_selects != 1 && $big_selects != '1'))
$smcFunc['db_query']('', "SET @@SQL_BIG_SELECTS = 1", 'security_override');

// Lets set MAX_JOIN_SIZE to something we should
if (empty($sql_max_join) || ($sql_max_join == '18446744073709551615' && $sql_max_join == '18446744073709551615'))
$smcFunc['db_query']('', "SET @@SQL_MAX_JOIN_SIZE = 18446744073709551615", 'security_override');
}

Hi

I fligh now to the moon...  >:(

sorry but  I have now to erros

first in first picture and then the scond. And now it freeze....

margarett

Meh :(

I need to try and setup Kunena locally. It's impossible to debug it like that... It's clear that the database schema of the converter is not suited to your database :(

Mhh..

so what have I to do for you?

Are you create a new converter or what does this mean?  :o

margarett

For now there's nothing you can do to help, but thanks ;)

I just need to find more hours to add to my day so that I can pick on all other things I have already delayed :P
When that happens I'll try to upgrade the current converter to match Kunena 3 database schema.

No idea. First I need to be able to get my hands on it. Judging by the current RL workload, it might take some time :(
But I'll try to get to it as soon as possible ;)
