Recent Post Mod?

Hey everyone I just added a sidebar and I wanted to add a recent post mod on it.
The portal that I installed already comes up with one.

But is there a recent post mod similar to this?

The mod displays new post each time without having to refresh the page.
I noticed that the forum is powered by Simple Machines too.

Can anyone tell me what this mod is or if there is one similar? Thanks!

That forum implements something very serious and very powerful on another hosting server to make that happen. I doubt you'll be able to do it on a regular hosting without paying a lot of money to cope with the load.
