Seems that way.

I locked this. But, I've been overridden, without any comment or discussion, by someone who obviously knows everything yet has little idea of how a team is supposed to work.

Again.

So, I'll ignore this one.

I've just reread the other post and can't see how this isn't a duplicated request  ???

Meh - that's what you get for trying to keep things neat and tidy  O:)

Maybe the person who unlocked it, but didn't have the decency to explain, will comment.

sounds like it was locked and unlocked at the same time... since SMF does not warn when you unlock some elses lock that was done when you were on the page. my lock was 8 seconds after your lock.

yeah... it's a toggle switch.  If you were both applying a lock at the same time, the first one locked it, the second one would unlock it -- without notifying either user that it was attempting to perform, essentially, the same action.

The same thing would actually happen if I had this page open - left my computer and came back to it 3 hours later, applying the lock to the topic on the open page (without a refresh). Since the page was locally cached/open and never refreshed, I would THINK that I was locking it, but in realty, I would have been unlocking it form the lock that happened while I was away

note to certain parties.  Yes, this is an incorrect way to handle the status and should be changed

That's why a note should be made, in the topic that's locked, when the deed's done.
