Converting XMB 1.9.2 to SMF 1.0.5

Greetings everyone--

I have a brand new installation of SMF 1.0.5 and I'm using the xmb_to_smf.php converter.  But I don't get too far!  After I enter the paths to both installs, and the password, I get the following error message:

QuoteSorry, the database connection information used in the specified installation of SMF cannot access the installation of XMB Forum. This may either mean that the installation doesn't exist, or that the MySQL account used does not have permissions to access it.

What's wrong?  Is there an updated converter available?

Are you using different databases? The user of the SMF database needs to have access to the XMB database, and the user of the XMB database needs to have access to the SMF database. You can set this in your cPanel.
