I had seen this but as I didn't know I didn't comment in order not to make the topic commented as you explained me... Now that you have seen it I thought about it and IMO the OP asks to convert the date into something like 13th February 1993 instead of 13/2/1993. As I have no idea on how to do it I didn't reply. Again, this is just a guess, it's extremely unclear and I don't have the mind reading mod installed yet

Folks, this is solved. The question was asked here and in the German language support board.

The user wanted to require the date of birth on user registration and have a specialised entry field in date format so you can't put invalid inputs in it.

He was pointed here:
