Hi,

Can someone tell me why - When I copy/paste from MS Word into a post on my forum, it wraps [size...] tags around each line?

For example - I have the following four lines in my Word doc:

copy line one
copy line two

copy line four - line three was blank

When I copy/paste that into a post and then Post it, it's changed to:

copy line one
copy line two

copy line four - line three was blank

If I copy/paste into notepad first, and then copy/paste from notepad to the forum, The [size...] tags don't show.

Thank you.

ps - as a test on this forum, below i'm pasting in the same lines that i copied from my ms word doc:

copy line one
copy line two

copy line four - line three was blank

MS Word has formatting stuff, which you can't see. Copy/pasting, from that, isn't terribly good.

Try pasting into a plain text editor and you'll see weird stuff, there, too.

Thanks.

But when I paste into this forum, it worked fine - it didn't put in the [size...] tags.

But when I paste into my forum, it does.

Is there an smf setting I've done to make it do that?

You're almost certainly using the buggy WYSIWYG editor.

Ah - the editor - hadn't thought of that - thanks.

How do I check that?  (I have full admin access to the forum)

And how do I know the good one - does it have a name?

Thanks!

Thanks ?!  That worked!

I went to Profile > Modify Profile > Look and Layout

Then UN-checked  "Show WYSIWYG editor on post page by default."

Thank you.
