Username can be changed?

Hey guys,

Why are admins still able to change their usernames even though when installing SMF, it says that the username can't be changed but display name can be later on. I am still able to change my username on my site.

Is this a bug or something?

Valid bug in the installer description. Admins can indeed change their username (just as they can change any user's actual username)

EDIT: Not fixable in 2.0 but fixable in 2.1, tracked as https://github.com/SimpleMachines/SMF2.1/issues/2217

I'd prefer they didn't because then they might start emulating the gamification nonsense on StackOverflow which is quite possibly the worst way to do something like StackOverflow.
