the link displays, but nothing happens when you click on it.  smf ver 2.08 tried it with tiny portal and simple portal both.

It works if you have something set up to respond to mailto links. Most users who use webmail do not have such.

If you use a conventional mail client like Thunderbird, it will work just fine.
