Upgrade from 1.1.8 got Error: Language files out of date

Hi, recently I'm trying to update an old SMF forum that I maintained, and stumbled into this error: "Language files out of date". I don't see anything that could help me in the wiki http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Upgrading. Can anybody help me solve this problem?

Upgrading to which version?

If your forum is running UTF-8 character set, then this might help (thanks to K@ - from when I had this problem)

http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=519403.msg3675747#msg3675747 - downloading the UTF-8 English language files fixed that particular issue for me.

(Hopefully you won't run into further problems as I have - just starting a second v1.19 to v2x upgrade attempt some 18 months after bashing head against a brick wall with first one and finding other unknown errors still a problem ).
