I did a little search and i found out it need these - http://download.simplemachines.org/?converters
                                                                              -http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Converting

Can someone explain to me the steps i need to do and can you tell me if the newest verstion of SMF ( 2.0.8 ) would work good with the converting ?

Thank you in advance

The converters from the downloads page will probably not work :( as I think none of them is for vB 4.x

Try the one attached, I used it not so long ago ;)

About the "how":
* install SMF in the same server as vB (different folder, same or different database)
* Upload the converter to SMF's folder
* Run it via browser
Se forem conduzir, não bebam. Se forem beber... CHAMEM-ME!!!! :D

Just curious to see how your conversion went?  I'm looking to do the same and trying to get some feedback.

I just mention about this in another topic, there seems to be a password problem not converting

members passwords don't seem to convert over I think...  At the moment its all confussing me as I
have no experience in this field i normally get someone that knows what there doing to handle this..
Would you believe it that i live in gods country

I would like to do the same as well!

I had no trouble with the passwords.  they worked as long as you added the code snippet from the post Bruno is referring.
