can anyone please tell me how can I completely shift my forum to another server.

Please can you give me complete guidence.

Justyne

Hi there... I will try to explain this as simple as I can

1. Put your forum into maintenance mode
2. Copy Everything onto your computer... database, all smf files...
3. You can get the db by using the inbuild smf backup utility or through PHP My Admin
4. Go to your new sever upload your smf files
5. Import the old database using php myadmin.. that is usually a bit of a fiddle
6. Get Repair_Settings.php to fix up your pathnames

And look here for the detailed version of this :)
Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.

and also I am not able to upload it back on new server.

Repair settings: http://www.simplemachines.org/download.php?converters

Backup with Structure and Data .. you need both..

and what do you mean you are not able to upload it to your server? Surely you must have means to transfer files to it...
