Displaying a popup or Iframe in message

I have several MS Xcel files and would like to have them viewed via a message post. I know they won't copy & paste properly (cell lay out is way off) but Xcel allows me to save it as a web page. From there, I can plant the web page files on the server. Is there a way to call them up as a popup from within a message, if I have HTML turned on - using for example a script to open a IE window, that is tollbar-less and sized?

Or, better still, a way to import the file into a message so it displays nicely?

I would like to avoid using a YRL in the message telling people to download the Xcel file.
