Problem adding a 1st "Post"

I'm using 2.0.9 - three days experience! Experimenting with adding new categories and boards. After posting a new topic (the first one in the new board) I could not see it in the board when I went "home". When I went back to add another one - and then went "home" - both posts appeared! Hmm! I don't know if this is a bug because it was a very first post and before I lay this before the feet of technically competent I would like to know if anyone else is seeing similar.

sounds like caching is enabled and it took time to notice the new topic was made.
