url for last post?

For one thread I have a permalink in the menu. It has a dropdown with links to its First Post and Last Post.

The First Post link works fine but I can't figure out the url for the Last Post.

Any ideas?

That is because the "last post" is always changing - each time a new post is made to the thread.

Actually it is possible to create a link to the last post. The 'new' link points to the first unread post, or the last post if the entire thread is read.

This would be index.php?topic=12345.new#new as the link.
