Sidebar only on home page?

Working on something and I was wondering if there is any mod that puts a sidebar on the the right!
Sort of like a Portal but not by itself

I want there to be a sidebar on the right that cotains anything I want like "who's online" or "Recent topics" etc...
but on this page

Most portals have pre-built blocks for that purpose exactly

and a portal mod can do exactly what you describe...   display X Y or Z on only one section (like the homepage)
