Recent Posts - Separate Page

I'd like to take the recent posts from the index page, and make it a separate webpage. While the main index just shows the top 10 recent posts, and I want it to still do so, I'd like this separate page to show the top 40.

Can someone tell me what do I need to do to do this?

SMF 1.1.20 using the Babylon theme.

Simple Portal?

I believe that has a pre-configured block to do exactly that.

I suspect that the other portals will, too.

You can also use the action http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=recent (of course, with your site on it) and that will load a page of recent posts

you can also include it in any page that you want to build, by using SSI functions

although, it is recommended that you upgrade to 2.0.x soon (not the least of reasons -- better SSI functions)
