Captcha no longer works

2.0.9v .... Captcha no longer works every since I upgraded to the new version a few weeks ago. There is no picture and there is no .wav sound either. Zero errors in the error log except for members failing captcha ( because pict is not there ).

I did however have Arantor's Captcha installed but i have since uninstalled it but Captcha still doesnt work with or without it installed. Subs-graphics.php was replaced but it still didnt help either as i saw in a older post.

What are a few things i can look at or replace ?

I would be using the file_check.php tool to check for spaces in PHP files where there shouldn't be any...

I ran the File_check.php file and see some errors but nothing that would cause the captcha not to work ( such as individual arcade gamedata files ).

look in your browser (ff or chrome) and check for js errors...

What errors did you see? How do you know they would or wouldn't affect the CAPTCHA?

Every one of the errors outside gdform and webformmailer could be responsible.

SMF files need to start with <?php and end with ?> and if they don't, it usually indicates the characters being injected into the CAPTCHA image that cause it to break.

Thank you very much. You pointed me in the right direction. Besides from the php files missing ?> at the end, i also found scripts that were not supposed to be in the .php files i the first place. Problem solved and fixed ..... thank you again A+
