Received a database error, one of my tables is down

My forum is down due to the smf_messages table.

I received this error:

#144 - Table './mopher2010/smf_messages' is marked as crashed and last (automatic?) repair failed

I'm hoping it is a structure issue, where I may be able to recover the underlying data and rebuild the table?  Has anyone else experienced this and what was your solution?

Is this possible? Or with the table error, was the data droppped?

Shame on me... My last backup was a month ago, so sounds like even if I patch this table with that portion of the backup, we'll still lose out on one month's worth of PM's.

Running:

SMF 1.1.20
Diecastaway.com
PHP version 5.3
MySQL 5.0

I have it locked in maintenance mode right now.

Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.

Tried a repair, from your site's CPanel?

If that fails, give your host a call. They should be able to sort you out. :)

That is probably worst than your current problem. Try repairing from SSH if you have access rather than Cpanel.

CHECK TABLE...

REPAIR TABLE...

GOOGLE is your friend.  Should have started there.  Worked like a charm.  No loss in data from what I can tell...

Thank you!
