Hey all,

I have the same issue. I installed the repair_settings.php. Used restore default settings and then i get the error about the template. Funny thing is, it seems to be only when i  have logged in. If i chagne the theme it changes, but still has the same error msg.........Please help me i am lost!!! Not sure if it matters or not. But i have 2 in the list......

Steve

It's usually best to start a new thread if the existing one by someone else doesn't help you and the thread is marked solved, as this one is.

The wizards tend to skip over the solved ones since there are so many open ones to help out on. :)

Topic split.

What is "restore default settings"? A link to your forum would help.

If that's your forum, have you thought about updating it?

Bug-fixes and all that...

Not really..........unfortunately the guy that use to control it isn't around any more and i am left trying to sort it..........same as the actual server. I had to learn how to set it up from scratch. I did have some help so was not too bad.............

Thanks for the tip Steve. I just didnt want to start another one cause there was one already there..........thanks matey. Ill try remember for next time...........

Updating's pretty easy. :)

If you go to Package Manager, you'll get notifications, with a "Click here to update" wotsit.

So, all you need to do, is... er... click there, to update. :)

Probably best to backup, first, though, coz you never know... ;)

Ok sweet =]

this is what i see.

Steve

You can go here and download the update packages:

http://custom.simplemachines.org/upgrades/

IMPORTANT! Do each one in order. Update to 2.0.5, then 2.0.6 etc. so you will need to download the top five in that list.

Sorry... I may have given you a bum steer, there.

On the main Admin page, there's a box, saying "Live from Simple Machines".

Look there. (Been a while since I did this) :P

Kindred

nope k@... you were actually right.

There should be text informing you that there is a patch ready AND a link to grab and install the next version patch in BOTH the main admin section AND the package manager section.

Use the maintenance routine to fetch files from sm.org (don't remember the exact wording)
Or do as Steve said ;)

Thanks all for the help. Is there a help guide to installing upgrades?

Sariи

Excellent. All updates completed. Still showing "The default theme's directory is wrong, please correct it by clicking this text." at the top of the forum page.........

Illori

admin -> themes and layout -> theme settings at the bottom of the page click attempt to reset all themes.

Sariи

EDIT: To note, seems to be only when i am logged in, no one else......To further note, even when i change the theme, it changes and still shows me that message

I clicked it and this is what happend;

To fix it i changed this & removed /home/USERNAME;
