Guests have view events permission but can not see events on calendar

All of my membergroups, including guests, have "view calendar" permission set, and the report shows "view events" is Allow for all groups, including guests.

However, the guests can get to the calendar, but it is blank for them - no events visible.

What am I missing?

Do your events get posted to a board, and if so, can guests see that board?

They do, and no they can not.

Is it different, if they do not get posted to a board?

That solved it, for me.

I set the calendar to post to a board, by default, and gave the guests visibility for the board.

Now they can see events in the calendar as well.

I did not try this without putting the events in a board, but next time, when I search, this topic will pop out......
