Any chat/shot boxes for 2.0.9?

just upgraded from 1.x.x to 2.0.9, but cant seem to find any chat boxes that will work on this version of SMF?

Have I missed something in the Mod section, or is there really no option for a chat box for this version?

Anything marked 2.0.0 or higher should work fine on 2.0.9.

Only one I have found is NChat and that seems to not work on my forum as it requires me to CHMOD some files, and I'm on a Windows server.

Anybody have any other suggestions of how I may get a chat box set-up?

You can also try one of the portal mods; as most of them have a shoutbox.

Everything that works in 2.0.x will work in 2.0.9

No, Kindred is right.
All the MODs he pointed you to are compatible to some version of 2.0. They they probably work with 2.0.9

Not trying to be rude, some of those would be perfect if I wanted a chart room, or instant messaging for member to member.......but alas the ones that are chat/shout boxes are not comparable with 2.x.x

Yes, the free version is no longer available. I wrote to the author, that perhaps it would be better to leave, but he did not answer me ( But the pro version is a good thing.

From what I remember, there isn't an admin panel for this- all the admin commands are right above the shoutbox and visible to admins (as well as to anyone you give moderate shoutbox permissions to).

You should have three different type of permissions you can set for each membergroup.
