Break long word into pieces

When I activated the option to breaks words longer than a certain length into pieces, I have noticed that if a long word have backslash character (\) smf don't break the word.

because then its not a single word
for example, we sometimes use this combination:    and/or

Ok, but if I have triggered out the "overflow: auto" in the style.css in gecko browser that lines go out in the right of the window.
