You will need to find a domain registrar and purchase a domain. You will then need to find a hosting company to point your domain's name servers to and install SMF on (http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Installing).

Many web hosting companies will arrange a domain for you. Some give you 2 free ones, some charge usually a very modest amount of money per year.
