My forum is on a shared server and the SQL database size is limited. What can I do to avoid reaching the limit? As well, what can be done if the SQL database reaches the limit?

Forum version: 2.0.9

In the immediate term empty all logs and optimize tables, this will  give you a bit of time to find a solution.

I remember years ago one guy had a massive database, but turned out he hadn't emptied the error log in years with thousands and thousands of errors.

Worked on a forum last year that had accumulated more than 5.2 million errors in 14 days.  Just over 98% of his database was the error log.

So main question is: what is your database size? And what's the size of your forum (users/posts)?
