This installer can connect via FTP to fix the files that need to be writable and are not. If this doesn't work for you, you will have to go in manually and make the files writable. Please note that this doesn't support SSL right now.

I got this problem and I changed the permission of that file I made all '777'. but still I am getting that problem

is the path to attachments just attachments? if so it is incorrect and needs to be the full path.

you can verify the path with What is repair_settings.php?

well as i said it has to be the full path... using repair_settings.php will help you to fix the path so it is correct.
