I tried searching for info on how to do this with no results.

I need to create a new board called "Ask Tom".  As such, i need to have all posts approved for that board only.

i've looked in admin->forum=> boards-> modify -> permission profile
but that doesn't give the option to submit for approval

I've looked in admin->members->permissions->etc

I know I'm missing something simple. can someone take pity on me & point me in the right direction?
Thanks

you need to create a new permission profile with the permissions you wish to have in it.

you need to make sure post moderation has been enabled under core features.

dont forget to assign the profile to the board after you have created it.

first thank you for the outline of what to do.

I've done everything as outlined & it makes sense. Yet, when i attempt to create a post in my 'approve only' board which is currently restricted to being seen by one trusted segment of my members, the post is not hidden till approved.
Perhaps i am missing something abt how 'hidden till approved' works?
Post moderation is on & the profile in post moderation are set to "approve only"
board permission profile is set to the newly created profile 'approve only'

ahhhh figured it out, i had to dive deeper into the specific permissions for each member group in the 'approve only' area
