All,

I recently moved hosts for my site, which is primarily a sales site, with a forum. I'm running SMF 2.0.10. I've tried to setup SSL on my forum, but I keep running in to issues.

Currently, it still works at http://www.ariesgamesandminis.com/forum (Image "Normal" attached)

But when I try https://www.ariesgamesandminis.com/forum ... it looks like crap & sometimes I cannot log in. (Image HTTPS attached)

I've tried using the repair settings php file, but that gives me an error. (Image "Repair Settings" attached)

I don't know what to do...can anyone help me out with this?

Thanks

You have to set all of your theme urls to https as well as the attachment and avatars

Interesting...I tried running it again, this time it worked...but, it doesn't change automatically from http to https. I had to manually go through & add the S in each string. Is this normal?

You need to run repair settings, accessing it from the https address
What is repair_settings.php?

I did...that's when the error came up (image "Repair Settings").

Then I did it again, and it gave me the right screen...but did not "auto correct" the strings to include the S...I had to do them all manually which is why I posted asking about it.

repair_settings.php does not auto-suggest anything other than HTTP protocol (that should be fixed btw), so manually adding https:// is a must.

However, once you've done that, you should be all set. Go through your Attachment and Smiley options as well and make sure those URLs were corrected as well.
