As admin I am posting some html tutorials in posts.

The image code is this:

<p><a  rel="nofollow"  href="http://www.site.com/images/chart.jpg"  target="_blank"><img  style="border:  2px  solid;  width:  100px;  height:  133px;"  src="http://www.site.com/images/chart.jpg"  alt""  /></a></p>

The image exists. but not displaying. Just an 'x' in its place.

I checked settings in admin panel. I am not seeing anything there for html enabling.

thnx.

I think your alt"" may be confusing the html. Try alt=""

HTML showing fine on edting the post.

But Internet explorer > view source is showing the gap between words are replaced like this: IN ENTIRE POST. ALSO IN image code.

<p><a &#32; &#32;rel="nofollow" &#32; &#32;href="http://www.site.com/images/chart.jpg" &#32; &#32;target="_blank"><img &#32; &#32;style="border: &#32; &#32;1px &#32; &#32;solid; &#32; &#32;width: &#32; &#32;150px; &#32; &#32;height: &#32; &#32;112px;" &#32; &#32;src="http://www.site.com/images/chart.jpg" &#32; &#32;alt="" &#32; &#32;/></a></p>

you should upgrade to 2.0.10 it has the patch in it.

pittu

OK. Will try to do that.

1. Uninstall mods.
2. Replace with new smf files and upgrade.
3. Install mods.
4. Do little tweaks I did for 2.0.9 files. (like I moved search box to top horizontal menu.)

above steps are correct. right?

pittu

Is there any problem if I go with my method except it is little long procedure?

Kindred

it is unnecessary... unless you need to clean up after partially installed/uninstalled mods, there is not need to do the process that you list.
Patching is simpler and overall, a cleaner way to maintain your site

I applied patch through admin panel, but still &#32; are displaying in posts. And no images are displaying.

Illori

did you try to try to post the html again after the patch was applied?
