Redirect email to a forum

Would there be a possibility to redirect email to the forum, use the forum (a baord) as a inbox and move topics form there into public or where ever one desires (maybe also a request: You email has been redirected to the form... if you want to talk about it there on a proper board, please send an answer "OK", if not, its not sure how long it needs... just in quick words (modifiable))?

No more email! Whohh! If you are interested to get people on board not into your email box.

Terrible, bad, horrible idea...

It has been done and then went away because there are dozens of security issues inherent in doing this.

Understand, the thought was more to redirect it from an email account, email server, so the most problems are solved. Atma gets 2 spams per week.

If making exclusively independent, yes, that is a whole different industry one might guess. So the security issue has to be solved email server side, so not fully on board, within smf an email server, but of course there would be also solutions, as a guess.

Guess its a little possible to follow. Would a support from the email site, saying, the hoster help? So simply thought: if the data are coming in clean condition. Maybe a partner is needed, and tought simple, not so difficult to find.

But these are thought of somebody who does not know much about anything here and on server (hoster) side.
