I am receiving this error when I attempt to login or out. This may have started happening after changing settings earlier because the SSI wasn't working stock. (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=537372.0)
Enable local storage of cookies - checked
Now SSI is working to a degree but this login/logout error is prevalent.

What do I need to do now to bypass this bug?

a wrong path would not give this error. sounds like a cookie problem.

You should disable local storage of cookies and turn on subdomain independent cookies

Can you get us a phpinfo?
What is a phpinfo() file?

Had all sorts of issues when trying this, took some cleverness to log back into the admin panel as I remember. I'll try again, see what happens.

A phpinfo has no sensitive information so you can just link it next time ;)

Anyway, I don't find anything obvious. I would just suggest you check with your host if your user has permissions for /tmp as that is where session.save_path points to...

Not surprised, I've used phpbb many times with absolutely no issues. Guess that's the fix here.
