Changing membergroups/account settings issue

Having a weird issue, with changing account settings... Anything to do with account settings is very slow and takes a while, yet using the forum and everything else is fine and fast... When I try to change membergroup or account name takes a while and after it display a blank page @ "/index.php?action=profile;area=account;u=7469;save"

I don't really know when it started thought it would pass but now it's getting annoying..

Anything in PHP error log?

I suspect that it should be triggering PHP's time limit. No idea which MOD could cause that, though...

Not on SMF logs, you need to check php error log

which version of SMF are you running? i wonder if that shoutbox mod is causing the delay due to its outdated code and the php version running on your server. can you try uninstalling the shoutbox and trying again?

I have the same version of the same shoutbox with almost as many mods and have no issues (forum version 2.0.10).

Also, if it were me, I'd try disabling the shoutbox in Admin -> Shoutbox first before going through the uninstall/reinstall procedure.

i dont think that would help with the error message the op is getting though. i bet you dont have php 5.5 on your server and the op does, that is why they are getting that error and you are not.

That could be. My host is running 5.4.something ...

My PHP version it says is 5.6 but I seem to have the option to choose in a drop down menu for 5.4, 5.5 or at 5.6



So should I keep it 5.6 or...?

I've enabled php error messages but it don't seem to display anything.. This isn't cpanel by the way.

To remove the "deprecated" error you can go back to 5.4. But the proper solution is to update the MOD code to be 5.5+ compliant...

Check you forum folder for a file named error_log or similar. If it doesn't exist you need to ask your host...
