How to Send an Automated PM After Registration?

I would like to be able to send an automated personal message from one of our accounts to every new member who registers. Ideally this would be a message sent 24 hours after they register as a kind of 'follow up' message.

Is something like this built into SMF by default? Would I need a module for this?

Did you know that sm.org has a "modifications" section?

What version of SMF are you enquiring about?

I'm enquring about the latest version. Version 2.0.

After some light testing, this mod generally works very well.
