OK, when me or my members try to post I get this message:
"Database Error
You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1
File: /home/xeclipse/public_html/forum/Sources/Display.php
Line: 546

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum files are currently at version SMF 1.0.5, whereas your database is at version SMF 1.0.2. It is recommended that you execute the latest version of upgrade.php."
Did you guys make a typo or do I need to upgrade my DB? If so then how do i do that?

Elmacik

download the upgrade package from downloads page.
for example to upgrade your forum to 1.1 rc1 version, download this:
http://www.simplemachines.org/download.php/smf_1-1-rc1_upgrade.zip

then upload all the files included in this package to your site, and open your browser, run the upgrade.php
it will do the job for you :)

Thanks but Is that the forum upgrade? I'm running the latest version. From what i can see my DB needs upgrading.

Elmacik

then i recommend you to download upgrade pack for 1.0.5 (this is your version)
and it will upgrade the database also

I received that error while developing some mods. Obviously it has little to do with the database.
Tough, I don't know what means.

I would be carefult with upgrading your forum if you have one heavily customized. Thing scould get nasty.
In any case, make a backup before you do anything.

Rudolf
I will update all my mods in the next few weeks. Thanks for your patience.
