Fake email failure messages, help needed very urgently

I have uploaded it following your instructions. I got report that upload was successful. However, when I tried to install, I got a warning of "Error in Package  Installation. I am suspending the installation for some hours to backup my database before proceeding any further. I shall inform you when I am ready. Thanks for everything so far.

You are correct, this MOD does *NOT* install cleanly in an unmodified 2.0.10
So *DON'T* install it ignoring the errors.

We'll just go manually
After you backup your database, go to phpmyadmin and run the following query at "SQL" tab:

TRUNCATE smf_mail_queue
(if your prefix isn't "smf_" make sure you replace it)

Yeah, but do NOT install it as it will fail and do nothing.

You can just remove the MOD from your "Packages" folder.

I am at phpMyAdmin. I tried truncating the smf_mail_queue and I got the attached error message.

All right. I have truncated it. I have the option now to edit or create PHP code. What next?

I have opened the Install xml file. I clicked on edit of the SQL. A window opened on top left corner of my window. I copied, pasted the install xml and closed it. Nothing happened. I know I must have missed something. I really appreciate your help. Please reply sooner. I have refreshed the page. I am ready to repeat or do what you will advise.

at this point you dont need to do anything with the mod that was mentioned.

you don't have to do anything with XML or php code.

by truncating the queue table, you have removed the entire queue. period. done. You're all set and should not get any more mail errors

Yeah, exactly like Illori and Kindred said. What you did in phpmyadmin is what the MOD does through a button
As we were unable to get the mod running, we cleaned the queue manually. You can delete the MOD and now your mail problems should be solved

Thank you to you all. I just checked my error log and found there were less than 1000. However I found one error that is "critical".
See attached. I do not remember trying to log in from Mozilla Firefox.

If that's the only occurrence I wouldn't worry much
Just empty your error log and check if new errors related to mail appear
