Package Manager problem

the ftp part wont work for me.... is there something i misse doing when installing is there a certain file that needs chmodding

and yes, there is a folder that needs to be chmoded to 777.
its /Packages folder
i recommend you to chmod everything to 777

i am not getting any errors  actually when i try doing any of the mods through it. i put in my ftp info  click proceed it redirects me right back to the page no errors no files change. and i chmodded everything to 777 that needed to be done in the install dont know why it doesnt work.

using the latest version of the forums.  positive my ftp info is correct.

any server requirements i can check  to see that i aint capable of doing  or something  i am stumped

No, that's not what I mean. If your permissions are not set, the packagemanager asks for your ftp-info. In the same screen, it also gives you a path to your forum. What is that path?

That is the complete path? If you go to Admin -> Edit Server Settings, what path does is say under SMF Directory?
