Forum doesn't send emails

Hello,

My apologies beforehand, I'm not very good at technical stuff.

I opened a new forum recently (2.0.11) and because I was in a hurry, I used a standard layout. I didn't install any mods and I didn't change any settings. I only made topics and threads and that's it. I figured I'll make changes later.

Now, I can't send emails from the forum, nor do I receive emails when a new member joined. To be clear, it's a new forum so it hasn't worked before either. We use a yahoo email account. The server is set to PHP default. SMTP Port 25 and a password is filled in. What am I missing? Please help me. Thank you in advance.

most likely a good part of your issue is that yahoo email address you are using. you should be using an email account that exists on your domain.
