Understanding IP Addresses

Hi

Please look at attached png.......This is my Profile (Track User/activity)...  I know that I am the only one with my Login Info and only me that is using it....

Should not my IP log reflect this ?

IMO only if you have a fixed ip (isp's offers this at extra cost) and never leave home\always use the same pc.

As for the ip collection showing: Never logged in using a phone or other mobile access? Or from work \ friend's place? Never changed isp? Also, your isp may change it's allocated ip range at any time, & your isp will normally change customer's allocated ip regularly (dynamic ip).

If in doubt check which posts\dates any listed ip relate to, and if in doubt see which isp they belong to and try to remember where you were at the time :O)

btw, I access my forum 99,99 % from my home pc, but still the different ip's listed in profile are many dozens  > changed isp, isp changing ip ranges, dynamic ip changing quite often. All normal.

For better understanding, check your public IP often, eg --> https://www.whatismyip.com/

Depending on how your host provides your access, your IP can change from "not changing" from "changing a lot". A site like that can show you what SMF sees (unless your host uses a proxy)
