Custom User info - Mod? or built in?

I have been looking for the feature on my SMF that I can input custom info for the users to input that would show below their name / image/ title / etc.

its like what they use on the coppermine forum that the user selects what version of Coppermine they have / where they downloaded it / and if it is integrated.

Is this a built in feature or a mod..?

I believe he is asking how to add custom fields to a user profile. I have seen this link:

which makes me think you have to add them manually.

Yes, you have to add them manually, but it's not that difficult to do.

Would it be difficult to add one that lets a user choose an image to display, like a country flag?
