Add new icons?

Apart from the stars, how do I add new icons that can be displayed on a members profile?

You can upload any new icons for member profiles to your Themes/default OR theme your are using instead/images folder.

Once you have your new image icons added, you can then go into your admin panel >Members>Membergroups>Edit Membergroups. There you will see a modify link to the right of each group. Click that and you will see Star image filename: and there you can type in the icon name that you uploaded and want to use for that membergroup.
