Hi all you that are the know all there is,

I danced through the Stickys and How TOs, but of course, got lost. :-[

Simply want to know how to go from attachment #1 to attachment #2. They are set at 1300px wide (which I thought was good).

I thank all in advance (as this may be simple, or it may be difficult.  ???)

Which theme are you using?

Hi Sir Osis,

Thanks for checking this out.

The theme is Fresh Looks ~ Green

The image was found using Google images "Labeled for reuse"

The Logo was cut from SMF Default Theme

The "Quick Log In" was cut from SMF Default Theme

You have to modify the entire header area in index.template.php.  It consists of multiple divs sitting on top of each other, user panel is in upper_section.  You'll have to remove all those nested divs, and place your bg image and user panel in the f_sitename div or a new div to replace it.  If you tinker with the css, bear in mind this theme has 6 color variations, each with its own index.css.  You should also use a % width for bg image, not fixed px, or it will look different in different display resolutions.
